Anatomy and Physiology

The next three modules in my Bowen Therapy course cover basic anatomy and physiology and is designed for people with no prior knowledge of this subject.

There are two recommended textbooks which I easily found and purchased online and a learner guide which provided to instruct on all the systems of the body including anatomical terminology, joints, muscular system, skeletal systems, cardiovascular system, nervous system, endocrine system, lymphatic system and lots more.

I found the most challenging aspect of these modules is the accuracy required on my assessment answers. Correct spelling must be used in labelling all the systems and parts of the body which can be a bit tricky if you are dyslexic.

I found the text book writing very small (that may just be an age related complaint). After reading through the required texts, and colouring in workbook, I reinforced my new found knowledge with some online help. I discovered a brilliant resource on Youtube in the name of Sam Webster, he does a fantastic job of explaining the topics covered in a visual platform.

I am amazed at the way our body maintains homeostasis with each system working independently and in conjunction with all the other systems.

Once I have attended the first practical module, there is more Anatomy subjects to work through but for now I have completed and passed the first three A&P modules
